A Moment Frozen in Time

A moment frozen in time, this picture does capture,
The nights black sky all around, showing its rapture.

Her thoughts of him she carried around,
As her eyes filled with tears, the world seemed to frown.
Oh if only he knew, how much she did love him,
Their chance meeting, was not just a whim.

What started out as just a fun game,
He turned the tables upside down, her heart overcame.
Feeling as though, he was set up for this meeting,
What kind of person was she, to be so unfeeling.
Little did he know, what true feelings she stored,
Hidden away in her heart that he left unexplored.

He swore no other woman, would catch him by a game,
The last one broke his heart, that left his heart inflame.

Knowing his behavior, was not like himself at all,
Needed to find her, he was feeling so very small.
He left her in tears, this was for sure,
Oh! Why Oh, Oh Why, did he act so immature.
So many people around, this special night,
Could he ever hope to reunite.

As time was slipping away, he needed to have it stand still,
Searching up hill and down hill, as he hoped to fulfill.
He need to make amends with her tonight.
Things must be fixed with her to put them right.
Just about to give up, as the fire works started,
The bright glow, encircled her, as he darted.

With the tears in her eyes she did not see him come close,
He reached for her hand, letting the feelings engross.
No words need to be said
Magic took over both widespread,
This Canada Day, great memories forever,
They would share them always together.

A moment frozen in time, this picture does capture,
The nights black sky all around, showing its rapture.
