Sealed for Safekeepin'

I revisit my childhood years
quite often in my days o' womanhood
never doubtin' for one moment
that way back when
I was broken beyond repair.

There's not enough tissue to sop the tears
shed o'er the pages o' my life
in a time wrought with energy
at its limit

reachin' for bare bones survival.

Dark o' night is blackened by my fears
wond'rin' if food for my spirit
a closet to hide the memories
shall e'er be found
in an unconditional love.

With each day's risin' sun the fog clears
wherein this place I now call home
the words o' my heart I scream once more
shared with list'ners
silently sealed for safekeepin'.
